I can't tell you how much I love hearing from all of you. Thank you for your encouraging support! We have a jam-packed weekend planned, complete with Noah's first real Easter egg hunt. (You know, where he actually understands what's going on.) It feels like only yesterday I was scouring the yard with my cousins -- and now it's the next generation of little egg hunters. Noah's the first baby in our family -- meaning Justin and I don't have any siblings or cousins with children -- but luckily Justin's cousins are between 3 and 6 years old. (His sister is only 10!) Justin's mom was an "early mama," having him at 20, so all of her younger sisters and brothers just started having kids. So technically they're all Noah's second cousins, but, regardless, we're thankful that he has family to share these traditions with. In fact, another second cousin was just born yesterday! (Congratulations Kasey and Neil!)
I hope you all enjoy your holiday weekend, and I look forward to meeting back up here on Monday. In the meantime, I wanted to tell you a few things:
- I love all of your emails, and I'm working on compiling Q+A features and guest blog posts from other moms -- whether you are currently just starting as a young mom, had a baby at a young age or are a child of a young mom. I also have a few guest posts lined up from some of your favorite young mom bloggers. If you'd like to participate, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
- I'm putting together a list of blogs written by other moms who are/were young moms to hopefully grow our community. Whether you have a personal blog, design blog, food blog, etc., leave your URL on the Early Mama Facebook page! I'll compile them all as a reference for us all. I think it will be so inspiring to see that all of these successful, smart, happy bloggers are/were 20-something moms.
- Also don't forget to follow along on Facebook and Twitter for more discussions, links and giveaways!
