Well hello, hello.

Do you like what we’ve done with the place?

I’m so excited to unveil the design that Justin and Christina Childress (the young parents of triplets behind The Childress House of Design) have been working hard on. I feel more at home here, where we can share ideas and give advice and support our far-reaching goals.

And with the new design comes the promise of more content — because I, admittedly, have been calling in sick here way too much. But I believe in this space — I believe in its purpose — and I’m determined to make it everything that I know it can be.

Here are some things you can expect in the coming days/weeks:

  • Just because you’re pregnant and in love, is it right to get married? Some serious questions to ask yourself before making the financial and legal commitment.
  • Easy ways to be more organized, more productive, and more positive.
  • 25 things I’ve learned by the time I turned 25.
  • Easy ways to make money outside of an office.
  • The biggest mistakes 20-somethings make with their money, their health, and their skin.
  • Introductions to new contributors and more “early mama” perspectives.

And since the site has been down, Early Mama was recognized as a top blog by Babble.com, and I was also featured on the Etsy blog (which was exciting!).

What do you think? Do you like the new look? Any topics you’d like to see covered in the coming weeks?

The new look is fantastic! Great job! I can’t wait to see what great articles are in store. Do you have any contributors balancing student / grad student life and being a mom? It’s definitely an underserved “early mama” community.

Thank you Megan! YES, that’s one of the topics I’ve been looking into recruiting people for. If you ever have anything to contribute — whether it’s your personal experience or useful tips, please shoot me an email. :)

Love the new design! It looks absolutely fabulous. I would love to be recruited to talk about balancing being a student and a mother :) that is what my blog mostly deals about, though sometimes I get off topic haha.

This is probably one of my favorite blogs though. Love it! Now it makes me want to do a redesign…must. fight. urge.

So glad to see you back! The site looks fantastic, I thought it looked great before, but who knew it could get better?! It’s funny, as I was reading this, I was thinking, maybe she needs more contributors to lighten the load? I could see this site really becoming a great resource, but I must confess, when it’s been awhile between posts I kind of forget about it! And then I remember and come here and feel all cozy and at home. ;) Can’t wait to be reading more, and I’ll be shooting you an email about contributing as well!

SO glad my favorite mama site is back!! I love what you’ve done with the place. I am excited for the revamp and to meet some new contributors… I have found so many great blogs through you! I second the student/parent advice.. I might have some to share and waay more to learn. I would also love to hear from some young artist mamas… how do you find the time to paint/write/dance/sing etc??
