I’ve been putting together a new series here — Support This Early Mama — after realizing how many younger moms are successfully running businesses, blogs and Etsy shops. I’ll attempt to feature one a week so that we can not only support one another, but be inspired by the creativity, ingenuity and success amongst us.
And I don’t think there’s a better way to kick off the series than with my dear Family Style colleague Rachel Faucett (of Handmade Charlotte fame), who recently launched a kids’ collection with ANTHROPOLOGIE. (Yes, thee Anthropologie.):
Even before I heard about her mind-blowing collection, Rachel has always been an inspiration. The blog world knows her for her design-savvy, unique-finding blog (which led to gigs on Babble.com and Momtastic.com), but Rachel started as a 20-something mom who sold antiques and liked hand-making clothes for her daughters. (Rachel now has 5 kids, by the way.)
After gaining quite a reputation in the design blog world, Rachel now has released this GORGEOUS clothing collection with one of the most desirable, respected, coveted stores in the world. (I’m a huge, huge, huge Anthro fan — although I own absolutely nothing from the store. One day I’ll splurge!)
The luxe kids’ collection isn’t exactly in the affordable range ($48 – $228), but I’d be tempted to spend the money on that first orange Little Plume coat ($198). And those bloomers?! Too adorable.
Even if it’s not in your budget, spread the word about Rachel’s Anthropologie collection! It’s quite the accomplishment from a fellow early mama, and proof that a busy, younger-starting mom of 5 can go on to launch a promising career while raising a large family. Congrats again, Rachel! xo
Shop at Anthropologie and bookmark Handmade Charlotte. (You can even head over to her Facebook page to lend your congrats!)
