Reason #14: The Youth Culture Advantage

We talked about how younger moms might be more in tune with on-trend youth fashions and cooler music (rather than reverting straight to Barney), but even kid’s programming is now targeted towards a more youthful sound. Of course I know plenty of not-so-early mamas who love a good Yo Gabba Gabba collaboration, but it’s a little notch in our favor. A little familiarity in an unfamiliar territory.

Here are some good examples:

Yo Gabba Gabba

Sesame Street

The Muppets

Maybe I am an “old” mom at at late 20s some start or something…. because I CANT stomach Yo Gabba Gabba. I also extremely dislike Lady Gaga lol. Sesame street, thats great. I will say my go to IS NOT Barney though. I try to avoid that one like the plague too. I was about 10 when that became popular and my brother was 2. He loved it. I HATED it. We made fun of it in school. So yea, no Barney here.
