Happy Independence Day, my fellow Americans! When did you start going to fireworks with your kids? I think we’re going to try our first fireworks show tonight — as long as they aren’t too late after his bedtime.

P.S.: Anyone else glued to the Casey Anthony case? I haven’t spend too much time dissecting the details, but I’ve definitely been watching the trial today at my mom’s house. Brought me to tears a couple of times. Hug your little ones a little tighter today.

My parents live on a very small lake & every year each cottage does fireworks , so it is alot of fun because you get to see so many and you can do it right there at their home, my daughter is now 3 & her first year she slept in the crib in the cottage while they were going off with out a peek, last year it was too late and she was scared but this year she was so into it, started getting fussy at the end seeing it was 2 hours past bedtime but she did great, my son who is a year had a blast too! they both usually go to bed at 8 but at 10 he was smiling and looking at the sky with amazement! difference in boys & girls maybe!
