Dear Noah,Today Mommy had to go to work, like every Monday.

It’s never easy to leave you, your sleepy eyes looking up at me, touching my face, smiling. It’s never easy to hand you over to someone else, someone who isn’t Mommy, and know that I’ll miss an entire day of your life.
But I knew that Grandpa and Aunt Nikki would take good care of you.
And I left.

What I missed was your first time swinging at the playground.

I missed the look on your face as you were suspended in the air, for the first time, cutting through the wind.

As you watched the ground move back and forth.
And when you looked around, Mommy wasn’t there to share your excitement.
But you still smiled.
You still laughed.
And I’m so grateful for that.

While I’ll always put you in safe, loving hands when I’m away…

…I wish it were me.

I love you more than the tears I cry when we’re apart.

Forever,
Mommmy

Michelle, as your sister.. and Noah, as your Aunt… I love you with everything in me. I know how hard it is to spend days apart, and you can't possibly believe me when I say this, but I do love him LIKE my own. I'll never know a mother's love until I have one, but I have an Aunt's love.. and you'll get to experience that when I have mine (and I experience the mother's love).. and you will experience the Aunt's love. It's incredible. However, I see in your face how hard it is for you to leave that precious bean every day. He is most certainly, the most amazing little boy to ever bless our lives. I know you know this, but I have and I will, take the best care of him that I possibly ever could. I am so sad that you have to miss some of these wonderful moments, but I do my best to capture them on camera for you as they occur. I love you both, with all of my heart. And Justin… thank you for making my sister happy, and giving me the best nephew in the ENTIRE world. I love you guys.
